I’ve changed my dividend portfolio again. This time, I sold a UK dividend ETF, added an investment trust, and bought a new UK stock that most investors probably ignore.

In this Behind the Portfolio update, I made two changes to my portfolio. Big changes which I will go into on the video below.

The reason for selling IUKD was not because I think it is a bad ETF. It gave me simple exposure to UK dividend shares, but I wanted something a little more intentional. IUKD is a rules-based high-yield ETF, which means it can end up holding companies mainly because they offer a high dividend yield. That can work, but it can also increase the risk of owning value traps where the yield looks attractive because the share price has fallen.
