If you're serious about building long-term wealth, you've probably asked this:

**Should I buy individual dividend stocks… or just buy an ETF and chill?**

## What Dividend Stocks Actually Are (In Simple Terms)

A dividend stock is a real business that:

- Generates profit
- Shares part of that profit with shareholders
- Pays you cash (usually quarterly or twice yearly)

You own a slice of the company.
They make money.
You get paid.

That’s it.
