For years, it lived in the shadows of Ash’s crypto work, in videos and Discord discussions that didn’t quite fit in a Bitcoin-first world. But it was always there, waiting for the right time to stand on its own.

**That time is now.**

## Where it started

Ash began investing back in **2015**, long before finance content was everywhere. While serving in the **RAF**, he started with simple, hands-off investing through platforms like Nutmeg, learning the basics, making mistakes, and building real experience over time.

In **2016**, Ash invested in Bitcoin. That decision changed everything.

It eventually gave him the freedom to step away from the RAF and become a full-time finance content creator. For years, his focus was primarily on cryptocurrency analysing markets, teaching risk management, and helping people navigate volatile environments without hype.

But alongside crypto, one thing never stopped: **stock market investing**.

ISAs, funds, dividends, long-term compounding, these conversations were always happening behind the scenes, inside private communities and Discord chats. They just never had a proper home.

## Building credibility the hard way.

Ash founded **Learning:Crypto**, one of the first cryptocurrency education brands to offer **CPD-accredited courses**. This also tied into his [Market Mobster](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjJ90kZCcv5oTSeqJLlFyqA/?ref=yourmoneymate.co.uk) brand, which is still running today, covering cryptocurrency content on YouTube.

That journey led to:
